Ingredients:
- whole chicken
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup shoyu (soy sauce)
- 1/4 sake (japanese rice wine)
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 5 cubes of funyu (Fermented bean curd)
- 1 whole egg
Instructions:
- Take all ingredients to create the marinade
- Cut chicken into bite size pieces and cover in marinade. Let marinate overnight or minimum of 2 hours.
- Drain the chicken
- Lightly flour all pieces
- Preheat cooking oil in a deep fryer/pan/pot to 375F
- Cook until golden brown and internal temperature of 165F
